As a graduate of VKV Koç High School and Eastern Mediterranean University Business Administration Faculty, Berna Özdemirkan has been working in research sector since 2000 and since 2002 she has been working for GfK Türkiye. In her career in GfK Türkiye, she has worked in Employee & Customer Satisfaction, Corporate Communication and Retail and Technology teams. After all these experience she has focused on Employee Research and started working as a consultant in 2009. Berna Özdemirkan was born in 1978, married and a mother of one child.

Adventure of Employee Satisfaction for the last 9 years: Where was it? Where
does it go?

GfK Türkiye has been conducting employee satisfaction surveys since 2003, every year with a growing number. As a company which conducts great number of projects in the last years, GfK Türkiye has interviewed 385.000 employees within 382 projects in the last 9 years.

According to the research data within 2003-2011, the dimensions affecting employee satisfaction change within time series. The main factors of these changes are business management approaches, economic conditions, the learning and competence level of employees, the viewpoints of people to life and career and expectations regarding these, and change in communication and technology. These factors change when analyzed as white collar/ blue collar or manager/ non-manager.
