The Change in Generations=The Shift in Leadership

Nothing will be the same again…
Fact 1: Raw IQ scores are climbing, by three points a decade since World War II.

Fact 2: The Y Generation people (*) don't read newspapers. They believe that if the information is important, it will find them.

Fact 3: If you understand Y Generation, you will understand the future. You will also understand how our society and institutions need to change today.
For the first time in the history, youngsters are more comfortable, knowledgeable, and literate than their elderly colleagues. The Y Generation is developing and superimposing its culture on the rest of the society.
Everyone involved in leadership should consider these threats and influences. Generation Y is independent but dependent, confident but requires constant assurance; and, they need active learning and individual attention. These sometimes contradictory facts make leadership of any type more challenging.
In this session, we will discuss how to incorporate Y Generation in today's work-life environment soon to be dominated with Y Generation contributors; and, we will also discuss "facilitation" as an essential prerequisite for today's leaders.

(*) Y Generation, also known as the Millennials, Generation Next, Net Generation or Echo Boomers, describe people born between 1980-2000.
